A senior role reporting to the National Infrastructure Manager with a view to transition into a management role within 12 months!

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expertise for IT infrastructure, application infrastructure, and related services throughout the lifecycle of a client support engagement
  • Provide technical input, solutions, and recommendations to pre-sales efforts, and provide support for transition/transformation efforts
  • Provide IT infrastructure and/or application infrastructure lifecycle technical support, including planning, project management, installation, on-going management/monitoring/troubleshooting, and de-installation
  • Manage the technical/service relationship between customers and subcontractors/vendors
  • Incident Management: Resolve technical and some business incidents independently, within relevant service levels
  • Escalation Management: identify, manage, and lead escalations as required
  • Problem Management: Proactively and reactively look for solutions to prevent complex problems from occurring across teams/technologies
  • Solution Design and Implementation: Implement IT solutions and/or create solutions to meet highly complex customer and/or IT infrastructure needs
  • Project Management: Participate, propose, and/or lead complex customer and internal projects
  • Become a trusted advisor to the customers and/or internal businesses/end users
  • Ability to analyse, design and maintain IT systems and solutions for medium to large businesses
  • Compliance for operational and project reporting, ensuring all work is managed and tracked, including effort (time) and activities, resulting in accurate status and metrics information
  • Ability to make decisions in situations that involve a level of uncertainty
Key Requirements:
  • In-depth knowledge and experience across broad solutions that include technologies such as VMWare, Citrix, Microsoft (AD, Exchange, SQL etc), O365; Network (WAN/LAN/Routers/Switches/Firewalls), Cloud Solutions and Storage technologies (multiple flavours)
  • Experience with Autotask an advantage
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience with MS Windows Servers and all related technologies
  • Implementing effective and efficient cross technology based solutions that support client's business
  • Experience in a Project Capacity role ideally within a Managed or Professional Services organisation with proper time management skills
  • Contributing to the planning and prioritisation of the project tasks
  • Cloud Migration experience including Office365
  • Exceptional communication, customer relationship and technical skills
  • Scoping of hardware, software, and service requirements
  • Professional IT Certifications, such as: Microsoft MCSE, MCITP, Cisco CCNA, CCNP and ITIL V3 certified
  • ITIL accreditation or extensive experience of ITIL frameworks
  • The ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • Very strong interpersonal and communication skills - written and verbal
